About Menaka Sockalaingam
She has finished B.F.A and M.F.A Degree in Bharathanatiyam in Kalai Kaviri of fine arts in 2013
She has staged Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi and Bharathanatiyam Arangetram in kalai kaviri college of fine arts. she has learned Kuchipudi under guidance of Mr. Mohanapriyan Thavarajah Mohiniyattan Under Kumari Menan Bharthanatyam under Mr.Mathan kumar . apart from her interest in dance, she is also interested in creative writing like poetry,story writing, skit and in elocution. For which she has won many prizes on elite stages in Tamil nadu and won lourels in all island level in debate and drama competition in Srilanka,she has also showed her tallents by writting short film stories .
her most memorable Awards won through her creative writing & dance is the "super snehidhi" awarded by "kumudham" in 2010 and " Yuva Shri Kala Bharathi " award.
She has performed dance programmes on many stages and most memorable one is the participation in cultural festival programme conducted by "Indian high commission" she has also performed Bharathanatiyam programmes in many temple festival. from recently she is being working with Arusri Art Theatre.
